Steve Cunha's 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe
Steve named this beautiful 1940 coupe Lucy and he and Lucy live in Modesto, California. Steve says "This car is a blast to show
and go!" "I have owned Lucy for 20 years now and throughout the years I
have made a few changes to her here and there."
Chassis: 40 Ford with
Mustang II front end, twin leaf spring with 9" Ford rear end. (3.73
gears) with custom built traction bars.
Motor: Chevy 350 bored to 355 cubic inches with about 500 HP.
Transmission: Muncie 4 speed (M-21) rock crusher.
Exhaust: Flowmaster with 2.5 inch aluminized exhaust pipes. "She's all chrome from the mufflers back."
Wheels and Tires: Front is 195 60R/14's. Rear is 225 70PR/15's with Billet Specialties Legacy Wheels.
Interior: Leather and tweed seats and door panels. The dash is a one off Billet Aluminum Instrument cluster and A/C vents.
Body: All original Henry Ford sheet metal and stainless steel. The paint is Dupont Centari Flame Red.
